Merger creates lighting giant
Irish sustainable lighting company eLight has become Europe’s largest “Light as a Service” business following the acquisition of UK rival, formerly known as Energy Works. The expanded eLight group has a turnover of €12m. The company has completed over 600 projects, generating over €60 million in savings for clients. eLight intends investing €100m on projects over the next three years.
The eLight model is based on installing energy efficient lighting at no upfront cost to clients. eLight makes the upfront investment and the energy savings, of up to 75% per annum, fund the cost of the project, normally over three years. Clients include IRES Reit, The Dalata Hotel Group and UCD.
